Wisconsin Milwaukee Poll Watchers Restriction Challenge

Lawsuit filed by the Republican National Committee (RNC) against the City of Milwaukee Elections Commission challenging Milwaukee’s poll watchers limits for the November 2024 general election. The RNC claims that Milwaukee has limited the number of poll watchers who can observe certain polling places during in-person voting on Election Day. The RNC argues these restrictions violate Wisconsin law and ask the court to prohibit Milwaukee from restricting the number of poll watchers who can oversee in-person voting at any polling location across the city on Election Day.

STATUS: The RNC filed its complaint on Nov. 4, 2024. The commission has not responded yet.
