Wisconsin Walworth County Poll Hours Extension Request

Petition filed by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and a voter against City of Walworth Clerk, Heather Boehm, seeking to extend the in-person voting hours at two polling locations from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. The petitioners argue that the Whitewater Armory and University of Wisconsin Whitewater University Center polling locations had inadequate staffing and resources due to unprecedented voter turnout, which they assert could deprive voters from casting their ballots. They ask the court to extend the hours of the two affected polling locations by two hours.

RESULT: The petitioners filed their petition on Nov. 5, 2024. The court extended the hours of the Whitewater Armory and University of Wisconsin Whitewater University Center polling locations to 10:30 p.m. CST.
